I am Viljenka Šavli from Slovenia, one of the Euneos trainers. I enjoy preparing and running workshops covering different skills concerning the use of ICT in education (Moodle, IWB, e-learning, tablet PCs ...).
I'm a co-author of three English textbooks for young learners. Years ago I published a guide book eTutor for distant learning and a lot of articles concerning ICT use in education and about experience in international projects.
I was an editor of the school portal with the first virtual school materials and was awarded on Eu level for it. I was also one of the pioneers of eTwinning. For years I’ve been involved in creating e-learning materials on national and international level, run international collaborative projects and teacher-trainings and collaborated in different researches based on the use of ICT in education.
I run different teacher-training courses in Slovenia and abroad. I'm specially interested in new educational paradigm and new approaches in learning and teaching. I'm involved in ERASMUS project on flipped learning.
I believe our schools are heading towards paperless, flipped, inquiry based, PBL learning and teaching supported by IT. And tablets give just great opportunity to realize all mentioned.
I am a primary school teacher at a school in Maghull which is near Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
For a long, long time I have used different aspects and features of technology as part of the way I teach. The pupils in our school love lessons and activities that include some kind of computer or device and they learn very quickly and effectively.
In September 2013 I started a new adventure. As well as being a teacher at Green Park School, I also go on exciting technology adventures to help other schools, teachers and pupils find out about the great possibilities that internet devices can bring to education.
We have a great time learning with, and learning about technology. It is a tool that empowers learners and takes the ceiling off the classroom enabling education to become a shared and collaborative process.
My other great love is Liverpool Football Club. I have a seat at Anfield and have seen many great matches in fantastic atmospheres.
I Tweet a lot. My Twitter profile reads,
