COURSE PROGRAM

Each course starts with pre-course activities about a month prior the course in the Google classroom. There participants discuss their ideas and ask questions on the topics and get the practical information and list of apps needed for the course.

The program covers the days from Sunday (official opening and welcome dinner) to Saturday (course closure and departure).

During the weekend participants are actively involved in different presentations that are followed by hands on activities in small groups with a lot of trainers' support.

The course is tailor-made for teachers of English or other languages focused on the use of m-devices in teaching and learning.

We start with the idea about paperless classroom by learning basic media production skills (text, photo, pdf, audio, screen casting, …) using different apps. Our main aim is to start planning activities and creating lesson plans and materials that can be right away used in the classroom.

The idea is of how to use mobile devices for innovative, collaborative and creative learning and it is supported with the examples of good practice in language learning. One of powerful and easy to use features of tablets is also video production that can combine different approaches and materials. So participants are guided how to make short video inquiry and production that can be used in the classroom.

Flipped classroom with the help of tablet computers is tried out and some first steps towards it done in groups. Other strategies are presented along it to highlight the potential of tablet use in practice.

Participants also find out and experience how to develop tablet habits in the class, discuss the reasons to use them, safety, rules and exchange opinions on the topic.

Other topic covered in the course:
  • gamification and the use of games in learning process,
  • features for assessment and evaluation in learning (response systems)
  • effective integration of strategies and tablet technologies into a curriculum,

We conclude with asking "What can we now do differently? and presenting experiences from different countries. The course gives most answers of how to a
pply tablets in the professional context, develop classroom ready practical resources and activities that take in consideration different options ( 1-1, only a few tablets per class, one tablet per class...).

Not to forget - participants are also active creators of our program, as we try to make our program flexible and tailor-made for participants so their expertize and needs are also taken in consideration at the spot if needed.

The evaluation results of our courses prove that our program fulfils participants expectations and needs and we are proud of those results. So you are welcome to apply for our course and we promise to give you a fruitful experience.
